About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Visit every country, learn new languages, meet interesting people and live a full life!
ABOUT ME
I am a teacher, filmmaker, and adventurer. I love to be spontaneous and find the fun in anything.. there is never an excuse to be bored! I grew up in Los Angeles, went to University in LA and Guam. Lived in Peru while filming my Master's Thesis a documentary on tourism and it's effects on the local inhabitants. Taught at a public high school in Japan for three years. Spent 9 months traveling by land in Africa... and then "settled" down as a at - risk teacher in San Antonio.
PHILOSOPHY
Explore, experience, try to leave the world a better place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined a while back when my friend told me how great this was, but have not been active... that will change!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new to couchsurfing, but so far love the few experiences I have had. Being able to get a local perspective while traveling is the reason I do it. I would much rather go shopping in a local market, venture into a local restaurant and just wander a suburban street, than see the major tourist sights and museums.... and to me that is what couchsurfing is about really getting to know the local flavors and unique rhythms of the place that you are in and being able to share your perspective on these with others!
