Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To not get too comfortable and never stop dreaming!
ABOUT ME
I travel. I live in one of four places at the moment. I'm a born and bred Canadian, with British citizenship and Australian residency.
I play the banjo, make sushi, love tobogganing, capoeira and snowboarding.
My current hobbies include becoming a volunteer paramedic and learning to pole dance. Go figure.
I like alcohol more than it likes me. That is the Darwin way!
PHILOSOPHY
do not be an asshole...unless it is absolutely necessary.
Sometimes it's better not to make plans, and see what opportunities present themselves.
Intuition never lies.
As curious as you might be, dont go downstairs at Thursday's the bar.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Offer to host, word of mouth publicity, not being a jerk when I surf.
Hosted a few lovely surfers back at uni and will probably be a lifelong surfer
The project has been growing here!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
well, let's see, I've surfed england, czech rep, germany, amsterdam, iceland, montreal, new orleans, los angeles, wellington and melbourne successfully. a fabulous experience!
Interests
Europe seems to be whispering in my ear as of late...but I really need to save up some money so I can go back to school in either OZ or Canada. I want to become a nurse or paramedic in the very near future, would like to run a marathon once in my life (because I am that self punishing apparently), I enjoy spinning around pole-like objects and a drink or two at the end of the day.

Music, Movies, and Books
Bright eyes, metric, brandon flowers, cocorosie, johnny cash, stars, the voluptous velociraptors, deadmaus5, whatever dirty dubstep you can throw my way...and a bit of kanye for good measure
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiked solo across Iceland, biked to London, Ontario from Guelph and back, without a spare tube. Lived in the basement of an old antique store for 8 months. Skipped school for 2 1/2 weeks to travel europe during my fourth year of university, and passed all my classes decently, went to Australia 3 years ago, on a whim...still there:)
Teach, Learn, Share
Ditches in Iceland are suprisingly deep. never ever try to walk across one...you'll be sorry.
When hitchhiking, if whoever picks you up mentions their relationship status within, say, 15 minutes (unless it's "i love my wife/husband/partner/fill-in-the-blank") it might not be a good scene.
If you can't tell whether someone's Canadian or American, ask if they are Canadian first...trust me.
Recent studies have shown that coffee consumption can reduce the rate of alcohol related liver cirrhosis by 22% per cup (to a max. of 88%).
Silence is complicancy
You can not prove things true, you can only prove other things to be false.
'thing' is an excellent word.
I can teach you ANYTHING you want to know about xenobiotic metabolism, or human anatomy, biomedical histology or nutrition and toxicology.
I know how to take a cork out of a wine bottle.
I have LOTS of smoothie/coffee making experience.
I can give you dreadlocks,
I can plant trees and strawberries...
I've been told I'm good at tiling floors.
