ABOUT ME

I'm a 23-year-old in Omaha who's casually seeking enlightenment. ;)
I've been told I'm fairly philosophical?
My sense of humor is delightfully -absurd- ;)
I'm interested in learning, all the time.
I could be described as chaotic good. ;)
I love anything where I can heal with my hands, such as reiki or massage therapy.
I'm a nomad hitchhiker- see the name. I crave adventure and travel and find that as time goes on I'm missing Burning Man more and more, not gonna lie. =P

PHILOSOPHY

There isn't space for this. =P I am convinced that the Universe is full of joyful genius that we can call god, and being one with the universe, we are god.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been a host to a total of 10 people, and I've also donated money. Now, I'm mostly traveling around. =D I'm great company though.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted to 10 people. Once, I was really jiving with a group and had nothing to do, so I asked if I could come with them. We hitchhiked to New York where we went to the Clearwater Festival, a zen monastery, and swam under waterfalls. Amazing.

Interests

Reading and writing, reiki and massage therapy, technology, science, polyamory, cooking, adventure, different cultures. ALWAYS trying to make myself a wiser, more loving, stronger person. =P

Music, Movies, and Books

Music that causes me to shiver with emotion, dance, melt into stillness. Music with lyrics that cause me to think about the world in a new light, be surprised, and appreciate. However, I've noticed an affinity for Led Zeppelin, 60s, 70s, and 90s rock, electronica, Bjork, klezmer (??), and Indian.

Books- I read everything! Can we limit it to just a few? Ishmael by Daniel Quinn, Stranger In a Strange Land, Dharma Bums, Illuminatus! by Robert Anton Wilson, Watchmen by Alan Moore. Pronoia is the Antidote for Paranoia: How the World is Conspiring to Shower You With Blessings, by Rob Brezsny (!!). Anything by Christopher Moore, Neil Gaiman, or Terry Goodkind. I've cut down the book list to just a few randoms, but I have hundreds of favorites.

I also have a budding interest in graphic novels. Sandman, Fables, and Transmetropolitan, for example.

Movies- Harold and Maude, Kung Fu Hustle, Pleasantville, Sin City, The Royal Tenenbaums, Old Boys, Poltergeist Report, Waking Life, Big Fish, and the kinds of Discovery Channel movies that talk about the depths of the ocean and evolution and the beginning of the Universe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Weird, I was just thinking about how many amazing experiences I've had, and hoping that everyone has as many of their own. I've had so many beautiful days I don't even know where to start. Let's chat about this.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I'd be happy to teach and share:

Free massage and reiki. You should ask me for even a footrub. I'm serious. Also, I'm a pretty good cook. I know a lot of things and I'd always love to learn more.

What I'd want to learn: Additional levels of Reiki, how to play an instrument, folk songs if you've got em, interesting stories =) Anything, really. I'm passionate about learning.
