About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find/create an external place to call HOME.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Scotland but left at 20 and have spent most of my adult life travelling or living in other countries. I have no base and like the simple life, roamimg around, sleeping out in nature in a tent or hammock. Athough a few years ago, I converted a campervan, and I live in that now, a wee upgrade from the tent. 🌎🚌
I now spend summers in the van in Europe and winters somewhere tropical learning Eastern practices.
Im a bit of an idealist and a dreamer, im fascinated in self-healing, processing emotions, connecting on a deeper level, and consuming in a healthy, balanced way. I don't drink, smoke, or consume any drugs or animal products and like to live a pretty pure, wholesome, healthy, and balanced life. My next mission for health is deeper, more significant human connections, which my lifestyle seems to have sacrificed.
My dream is to build a small, off-grid, self sustainable, holistic health community with homegrown healthy vegan food and connection to nature at its foundation. Along with spiritual practices such as Qi gong, yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, and meditation. For me this feels like a natural and balanced way to live, but I am still open to any possible way of living that brings peace and balance, not just to myself but to others, animals and the planet.
Until that time, I still enjoy the road, chilling out, having good conversation, cooking/sharing healthy meals🌿 and listening to nice music 🤗

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is connected and part of one big living organism that we can never even begin to fathom.

There are signs everywhere. You just have to be open-minded enough to see them and free enough to follow them.

Generally, we have the choice...
To sacrifice our time, for things.
Or things for our time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfer.

Never been in a position to host unfortunately as ive never really had a home. Now I have a campervan I can return the favour to anyone who wants to join a road trip 😊 I'll be cruising around beaches in Europe when it's warm and always nice to have people to share the road

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
At first I used it only to save money with some mixed experiences, but since concentrating on surfing with like minded folks, it's became a lot more rewarding and I've met some great people 😊

Interests

I love getting out into nature, trekking around and camping. I feel the more time we spend in nature the more connected we become, and being with nature's cycles it balances, calms and teaches us more than any class room could. The most profound experiences I've ever had are when being out in nature for extended periods alone.

I also enjoy art, creating therapeutic drawings and songs, playing games such as backgammon and chess, cooking good healthy food, playing with animals and children and generally just being outside enjoying the moment.

I'm learning/practice Qi gong, Daoism, yoga, ayurveda, breathwork, mindfulness, meditation, vegan cooking, sustainablity, and trying to become more balanced with the environment and myself. Both are connected I feel.

I adore sunsets, the beach, hot weather, the ocean, the mountains, the jungle, being barefoot, swinging in hammocks, the smell of freshly cut grass, the outdoors, looking at the stars, the moon, philosophy, contemplation, good company, deep connections, laughing, animals, kids, wiggling my toes in sand, skinny dipping under the moon and anything that i have not done before.

Teach, Learn, Share

Human relationships, mistakes, and nature... are our greatest teachers. 🤗

"Make a radical change in your lifestyle and begin to boldly do things which you may previously never have thought of doing, or been too hesitant to attempt. So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservation, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence, there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. If you want to get more out of life, you must lose your inclination for monotonous security and adopt a helter-skelter style of life that will at first appear to you to be crazy. But once you become accustomed to such a life, you will see its full meaning and its incredible beauty."
Alexander Supertramp
