CURRENT MISSION
Live life
ABOUT ME
After several years in Spain and one year travelling around the world, Katerina and I have recently moved to Germany. We're still trying to learn a new language and immerse in a new culture while getting to know the beautiful mountains of the region.
We're both easygoing and friendly. Not exactly party-animals, instead we enjoy long hikes or a good conversation with interesting people... other CSers for example!
PHILOSOPHY
Why do I live my life? Hard to say. I'm always searching for "the Meaning of life" but haven't found an answer so far.
In any case we have one life to live, here and now, and I doubt that we'll have a second chance. Take it easy, enjoy it and do your best to live a "good life"...whatever that means to you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't been really active lately... I don't live in a popular destination anymore, and work has kept me away from most activities in the local CS community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started couchsurfing at friends-of-friends' places. In 2006 I tried "online" couchsurfing during a trip in Turkey and totally loved it! I hope I'll be able to do it more often. It's not about the money... it changes the meaning of travels.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lists, again... a few titles i can think of right now: dead man, reservoir dogs, film blu, he died with a felafel in his hands, young frankenstein, pulp fiction, ecce bombo.
Books? High fidelity, Carver's short stories, Borges... i love novels, short stories, travel literature, and socio-political books mainly.
Music? Quite a lot, but never enough. From indie to electronica, ambient, rock, punk, alt-country, folk, post-punk, heavy 'and friends', industrial, emo (just a little... nobody's perfect ;-), jazz... and surely forgot something.
I'm listening these days: NOFX, Nick Drake, Frank Sinatra's "My Way" and a lot of music from the '90s (anybody said nostalgia?)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen the Grand Canyon...
taken a "shower" under the Iguazu falls...
been at Rapa Nui...
walked the "Carros de Foc" tour...
flew over Mt. Cook...
got married at the beach in Malibu with the help of an awesome couchsurfer!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a scientist by vocation and education. I tend to read a lot and am fascinated by many topics. I'm always willing to learn new things. I'm not sure that I could really teach anything, but II can try to share with you some of the things that I've learnt along the way.
