About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Understand what it means to be free

ABOUT ME

I've spent 26 years living in a small town just outside Manchester. I've holidayed in locations around the world with my family when I was younger, but never appreciated the opportunity to experience other cultures. Instead my experiences were confined to the tourist resorts and complexes. I have recently realised the opportunities I have let slip by, and also my own ability to make positive changes to my perceptions and interactions withn the world at large.

I can be a little cynical and often impulsive, but I'm open minded, chilled out and non-judgemental. Looking for new experiences, good vibes, good company and good times.

PHILOSOPHY

The understanding of myself and the world around me can only be improved by the pursuit of new and varied experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

New to Couch Surfing. I'm hoping some lovely people can help me on my adventures around the globe.

Interests

I'm interested in people, how we live and work together as communities and groups. I have particular interest in sustainable, communal, and nomadic living.
I love music, festivals and bass thumping parties. Spending time in good company and good surroundings. I like spending time in open spaces, among trees and valleys. I love life on the road and the thrills of uncertainty.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a wide ranging taste in music. If it's got a bit of rhythm or soul I;m generally happy. Jimi Hendrix, Toots and The Maytals, Primus, Radiohead, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Rage against the machine, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd .....to name but a few favourites. I like filthy drum n bass, funky rhythms and sounds from around the world, particularly western africa, india and japan.

I like dark humoured movies, satire, epic battles, biographies and true stories, and weird concepts that get you thinking.

I'm more into philosophy of reading and books more than the actual practice. However, I have recently started reading books by Hunter S. Thompson, Terry Pratchet and Paulo Coelho

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked from festival to festival across the UK after the engine fell out of the camper van.

Stayed in a cave community on the beautiful island of La Palma.

Run a chill-out lounge at festivals across the UK.
