Overview
About Me
I grew up in the city of Toronto, raised by a lesbian couple which made for an unusual childhood, but a happy one. One lesson I learned growing that I will always cherish is to, "Keep an open and inquisitive mind about life. Explore your desires and find what makes you happy, then try hard to build a life around it." I've always had the urge to explore the world and learn about different peoples, cultures and ways of living, and only within the past 10 years have I turned this urge into a passion. I love meeting new and interesting people abroad, and random wild adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm open to all genres, and that open-mindedness overlaps into my taste for music and film. However, I can be very picky when searching for a new book to read, and it also depends on my mood.
Music: All sorts old and new. Jimmy Hendrix, Bob Dylan, MGMT, Ben Howard, Drake, Jay Z, Empire of the Sun....
Books: The Odyssey, Mud Sweat and Tears, Lost in Shangrila, The Last True Story I'll Ever Tell, Into Thin Air, Tales of the Otori, The Beach.
Movies: Just about anything with a good story and character development.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Road tripping into the central highlands of Landmannalaugar, Iceland. An amazing journey with scenery you will never forget, mountains, volcano, lava fields and more. I had to drive through two rivers!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am more then willing to teach where I am, learn as I go, and share where I stop.
