About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See, learn, share, feel, live and make sure not to regret anything.
ABOUT ME
I'm an easy going guy, having fun is my modo, I believe that we do have full responsibility for what happens to us but that doesn't mean that we have to take it too seriously. Open-minded (I hope) ready for a long talk, an even longer walk or anything else I just don't know of now...I love to meet people, share mutual interests and passions, but I rely on meditation, Reiki and hapkido to connect with myself.I took 8 months off to backpack SE Asia, fell in love with freedom and now I could not see myself living without...So I got on my bicycle in Oct 2012 for a 9 months trip through Argentina. I knew nothing of the country at that time, now I'm half "porteno" since then :. Love this vibrant city, love the energy, love its people and their abrazo, just love it.Check out my website if you want to know me better: http://www.nomadobserver.eu/....
Until recently (July 2014) Nomadobserver.eu was what described me best, now please have a look at www.portelga.com, this is who I am (and what I do) here in fabulous BA.
PHILOSOPHY
"Feet on the ground, head in the skies"
"I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees"
"I'm not afraid to die, I'm just afraid not to live"
"Be careful when you ask something to the universe as it may quickly answer your wish"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I started my couchsurfing career in Malaysia a few years ago, while I was backpacking across SE Asia..
Since then I've been hosted by incredible people, adding each time a little brick to who I am today...no matter the size of the couch ;)
Not sure if falling in love with your host falls in the category of "como participo" but it happened to me...life is always full of surprises, no?
I made a promise when I was being hosted back then: to give back to the community the space and time they shared with me whenever I'd got a place which was not a tent... Time has come now, here in BA, so be welcome...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's almost impossible to describe all of my experiences but I haven't had any single negative one... And the more I go, the more I love it...

Music, Movies, and Books
Audiobooks about spiritual awakening (Dan Millman,Louise Hay,etc), but Ramstein or Daft Punk can do the trick as well... a bit of Dire Straits or U2 to top it off and I'm a happy camper..:)
Books that work well for me with a coffee on a rainy afternoon: Shantaram (Gregory D Roberts), Cuentos para pensar (J. Bucay), The Prophet (K. Gibran), A quoi rêvent les loups (Y. Kadran) and Mafalda's comics
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Actually, I believe that cycling Argentina and Chile on a 9months and 7000km+ trip was the most challenging, demanding, introspective thing I've ever done...But in the past: 6.30 in the morning 25 meters under the water surface in Sipadan (Malaysia) drifting with the current, suspended with a bunch of divers, facing a shoal of barracudas... it lasted an eternity ... or a few seconds, I don't know...
Teach, Learn, Share
We can share Reiki treatments, I would love to practice acro yoga with you, I've been told that I am "not too bad" in teaching photography techniques...and can perform the CPR if needed:)...
