About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy seeing the world as an expat and working as a business mentor in growing cultures.

ABOUT ME

I'm the type of guy who likes to work hard and play hard. I love my country, yet am always traveling. Currently, I'm working as freelance project manager, who is based out of Evanston, IL.

PHILOSOPHY

This is one of those questions that's hard to fit in a box. It's complicated and I love to discuss things, but don't enjoy arguments about politics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Now that I'm back in the Chicago area (Evanston) I'd really enjoy hosting people who are fellow travelers and want to experience Chicago.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think the CS project is a great idea. I've been on the road for the last few years for work, but now that I'm back in the Chicago area I'm hoping to host people on my couch. Showing people around the city is a lot of fun and something I'm open to if I can carve out the time.

Interests

I love to fly and everything about it, airports, frequent flyer programs, planes, it's all great! I also really enjoy sailing, when I'm out and about I sign up to crew racing sailboats. I enjoy city life, cycling, culinary stuff and great reads.

My work has taken me to developing countries all over Africa. It is my passion to work with new entrepreneurs, helping coach them through the complexities of business growth and work with westerners.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending new years on a hilltop on the Czech/Slovak border celebrating with citizens of both countries. Lots of cold, live music, laughter and slivovica! Hell Ya!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love entrepreneurship and have run my own company before. It's really exciting talking to people about their business ideas and helping them see different sides to complex problems.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Lesotho, Luxembourg, Mexico, Mozambique, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Scotland, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Swaziland, Switzerland, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, Wales
