ABOUT ME

I undertook a personal blog/travel project in 2010 with hopes of writing a book in the future. I'm going to four weddings in four countries, and trying to find out how global couples settle down and keep their roots in multiple places. http://www.backpackinginasuit. Otherwise.....Who am I? I....
travel very ambitiously, take pictures, talk, write when i feel like it, drink tea, drink coffee, listen to music, download movies, follow tv shows, play basketball, sing (badly), cook when i can, sleep (but not enough), read - or used to, make webpages, play group board/strategy games, shop, and... listen.

I have... lived a lot of places... US, Asia, Europe... and traveled a bit - but I guess I don't have as many stories to tell about my experiences as some do. But I sort of like it that way. I'm not quiet, and I don't keep to myself, but I'm really an introvert and introspective. But heck, you can decide for yourself what you think I am when you meet me.

PHILOSOPHY

Phew... from a long time ago.. I said live life with no regrets.. I also believe in seeking happiness, believe in building relationships with people, believe in smiling at strangers, and of course, believe that family is the most important thing. Memories, not material goods, although having been born and raised in America, this is something I struggle with constantly.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The experiences I've had with CSers have all been good ones. I just wish there could be more of them - but CSing as a single male in Europe is harder than I imagined it would be!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's been rough starting out - lots of requests sent, very (VERY) few positive responses... but I've been lucky to meet great couch-surfers in Sevilla and Marrakech. I'm excited to meet more people, and I've found that even if you can't surf someone's couch, meeting for coffee and getting to know people is almost just as good!

I'm no professional photographer, but people tell me I have a good eye. I can teach you how to sing your heart out at Karaoke even if you sing like crap. I can teach you about Chinese and Chinese writing. Some Chinese history. Chinese cooking. Making a good grilled cheese. I can preach about the environment. And I can teach you how to read a map if you need.
