About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The same as every city pinky... To survive long enough to escape.

ABOUT ME

Well I moved to Seattle in January 2012 for a new job. I'm pretty much setup
#### below this line is 2 years old ####
I just got back from traveling through South America for 3 months and have found a new pad. It's awesome, you'd be lucky to stay here ;)

I try to spend a heap of time paragliding, it's a purely selfish passion that I'm usually trying to indulge. I really like watching live shows, comedy, fringe, even theater. If you have something planned than you won't have any trouble convincing me to go.

I don't really enjoy TV but it is a good time waster.

PHILOSOPHY

Remember whilst traveling "If your not having a good time, it's probably a good story".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I tell my friends and random people I meet on the train about cs and turn up to Melbourne dinners.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've also had quite a few people crash at my place and I'm looking forward to getting over to Europe and the US someday so that I can call in the favors.

Overwhelmingly it's been positive.

Interests

Paragliding, fishing, eating, relaxing at the beach and seeing live bands.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to stuff in the alternative racks but it's a pretty eclectic mix. Not that much comes from the typical top 40.

Books, well I'm currently reading American Gods, which I'm enjoying and I read a bit of sci-fi when I've got time. If I'm flying I usually take a Terry Pratchet novel

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

the Alhambra in Granada spain, it's magical, the oasis, pools and art. Very special place.

Walking to Machu Picchu was great, it gives you a sense of accomplishment when you get there and an appreciation of the effort that the these people went through to build monuments to their gods.

And the Salt flats of Uyuni are amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been in Melbourne for a couple of years now and I can show you around the pubs and bars of the city.

Or if you like to head out of town I can usually be convinced to go on a bush walk or show you some of the nice beaches around town.

If your a paraglider I can do a tour of some of the local flying sites

Countries I’ve Visited

Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia
