I grew up in a small town in the middle of nowhere, went to college to get away, got my art degree, moved around a bit and settled in Austin, TX where I'm trying to make a difference.

Just getting started! No couch to offer right now, but can meet for coffee and give you some good suggestions. Looking to travel and perhaps meet new friends in other parts of the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read and I'll read most anything; non-fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, mystery. The Hitchhiker’s Guide sits next to Black Elk Speaks on my bookshelf. My favorite Douglas Adams book is Last Chance to See, if you haven't read it, you should. Food Revolution was a life-changing book for me.

Music: Folk, Traditional, Flamenco, Blues, World, Bhangra, Rock, most anything, really.

Movies: yes please! almost anything, though I usually avoid the typical blockbuster. I go to the SXSW film festival every year, this year I saw 28 movies in 9 days.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to crochet a scarf or cook some good vegetarian food, or maybe play the clarinet.
