Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Staying on and off track simultaneously
ABOUT ME
I make sculpture and installation art, usually traditional materials like wood mixed with some interactive or kinetic technology component. I also teach similar subjects at the School of Visual Arts graduate program in New York. I travel frequently in the summers for artist residencies and general fun and exploration. I also bike everywhere, which I highly recommend to get to know any city.
PHILOSOPHY
Be able to be both really serious and really ridiculous.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to and collect music a lot. I DJ sometimes. I'm all over the place, from old jazz to UK grime and drum and bass to African funk to gypsy folk music. Movies - love em, used to study filmmaking and theory, watch a lot of obscure documentaries but have a weakness for rom coms. Books - too broad to even get in to. I hate television. I read a lot. Although I did get really into the Sopranos. But I'm usually reading 3 books at once.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Built a seven story high wood interlocking pyramid in the desert without any nails, screws, or glue.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to fix or build things for my hosts. I can teach you how to make stuff, from microcontrollers and sensors, to wood furniture, to better sink faucets. If you're in NYC and need to make anything you can use the shop in my studio, assuming you don't hold me responsible if you chop your own hand off.
