Hello! I'm Noortje. I was born and raised in the Netherlands and live in the old university city of Leiden. I studied cultural anthropology and industrial ecology here. I now run my own organzation where I work on fighting marine plastic pollution. We do projects to research marine pollution in oceans and develop solutions to prevent further pollution.

My appartment is part of a living community close to the city centre. It has it's own kitchen, bathroom and living room, and has access to additional shared spaces, like a garden, shared living room and kitchen and sports facilities. I have a guest room for those who would like to visit Leiden. I don't smoke, don't have pets most of the time (sometimes a guest cat), and I enjoy cooking vegetarian. I love being in nature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really enjoy to meet new people and to get to know a country trough the eyes of locals. I also like to share my home, as I have the space to host people and love to help you on your way to explore Leiden, it's surroundings and cities around Leiden.
