About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Puzzle out some great secrets, turn order into chaos and chaos into peaceful harmony, be part of many small things at the same time or one big thing at a time, focus and defocus, wander in irregular zigzags (I don't like straight lines)...

ABOUT ME

A multi-skilled artist and a citizen of the World with a very diverse family background, I have plenty of stories I can share. I live my life a bit like a novel or a poem and I often have one of my puppets with me to make you smile. I am discreet, laid-back and I suppose I am quirky too. I am a little shy but very open and loving at the same time. I do whistle a lot (usually louder than I speak!). I love nature, deserts, seas, rivers, chilling in cafes, friendly neighbourhoods, yoga, Feldenkrais, simple things, growing things, making things, etc...

PHILOSOPHY

We are all one bunch of people on one planet. Despite cultural differences, at the end of day, we all have the same basic needs.
Spontaneity and flowing work best for me, although I am capable of being organised too. Always a good cocktail of choice and chance...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had my couchsurfing profile for quite a while but haven't really used it yet. However I have couchsurfed many times along with my ex boyfriend and various friends, using their couchsurfing profiles. I often host people at my home or find people to stay with through friends of friends, and now is the time to finally start using my couchsurfing account!

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite books : "The God of Small Things" by Arundathy Roy; "Les Fleurs bleues" by Raymond Quenaud; "The Nonexistent Knight" by Italo Calvino; "Un animal doue de raison" and "L'Ile" by Robert Merle; "The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana" by Umberto Eco; "Kinshu: Autumn Brocade" by Teru Miyamoto; "Photo de groupe au bord du fleuve" by Emanuel Dongala; "The Yakoubian Building" by Alaa Al-Aswany; "Le Rocher de Tanios" by Amin Maalouf; "The White Tiger" by Aravind Adiga; "Eloge de la piece manquante" by Bello Antoine; "Le Chevalier de la charette" by Chretien de Troyes; Zola ("Rougon-Macquart"); poems by Blaise Cendrars and Jacques Prevert...

I am a life-long cinephile who prefers watching art house cinema in festivals and I also like watching good documentaries.

My musical tastes are pretty eclectic although I must admit I am not into death metal, which doesn't mean I dislike death metal musicians!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-A steep-cliff-falling cow in the Galilee that didn't get one scratch and walked away a bit dazed! (and I also witnessed a similar mirroring experience with a hedgehog in a very old cave about a week later, no kidding).
-Sipping fresh camel milk in the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan, yummiest and healthiest thing in the world!
-A secret anecdote about Arcimboldo creating an event of turtles carrying candles on their backs through a room full of tulips in Prague Castle!
-Hiking for two days to fetch black wild pregnant mares in the Pyrenees, finally finding their black silhouettes emerging from the heavy white fog and herding them back home!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you a bit of puppet manipulation, very basic mime technique and a tiny bit of dance therapy, or give you some advice in drawing, printmaking, mosaics, fresco, lighting, basic film making and animation techniques, puppet making, making/fixing/modifying stuff in general. If we have time, I can organise a giant puppet making workshop with you and your community. I can also show you some vegetarian cooking recipes. I would love to exchange knowledge in naturopathy, healthy living, permaculture, etc... I can give you a massage or exchange massage techniques with you. Also, I have a harmonica and would appreciate it very much for someone to show me a few tips. I would love to try any of your instruments too :) (I really really want to start learning the saxophone by the way). Above all, I absolutely love all kinds of languages and would love it if you can help me improve the languages I know or teach me some new ones and I can do the same for you. (So far, my French and English are completely fluent and I speak quite good Italian, I can communicate in Spanish too if you show a bit of patience.) Hey, I would love to learn anything you are willing to share :)
