ABOUT ME

I think about serious things but don't take myself seriously. I really like to listen to others, being fully engaged by another person is one of the best parts of being human. I don't know how revealing this is, but this part of websites where one is asked to describe themselves really irritates me. No matter the depth of the answer upon reading those statements they always seem so contrived(the ones I make about myself, not yours). Including that one.

PHILOSOPHY

I have a phenomenological based approach to my investigation of reality.

Interests

I am a nature lover, there I said it. When it isn't even comfortable outside I still like it and want to be in it until I am too cold, wet, etc. to take it anymore. Art, music, philosophical conversation, and questions of ultimate concern are most welcome as well.

I especially like densely lyrical novels, but as a word junkie I frequently find myself reading whatever crosses my path.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was twelve I saved my friend from drowning in a glacially fed river. The first time I visited the Karma Thegsum Tashi Gomang stupa. It was at dusk and it looks over the whole San Louis valley. There is beauty beyond words there.
