Overview
About Me
Hey, I'm Veronika!
I'm originally from Kazan, in the Tatarstan Republic of Russia—a unique place rich in Tatar culture, food, and history. I spent six years in Moscow studying Maths and Physics, and now I'm pursuing a PhD in Informatics at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany.
I consider myself an ambivert, enjoying listening to others' stories as well as sharing my own. I love meeting new people, hiking, and traveling. When I visit new places, I'm keen on experiencing them authentically, connecting with interesting people from different cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would appreciate of getting more realistic experience of places I'm visiting and I'd love to meet interesting people of different cultures.
I'm also planning to volunteer at the Reykjavik International Film Festival.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to movies, I'm a huge fan of directors like Guillermo del Toro, Lars von Trier, Tim Burton, Andrei Tarkovsky, and David Fincher.
As for books, I'm captivated by Terry Pratchett's works, Daniel Keyes' The Minds of Billy Milligan, Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment, and Bulgakov's The Master and Margarita.
I occasionally pretend I can cook.
