I'm Nora, 25 years old, just about to finish my Master's degree in Berlin, Germany. Arts & entertainment journalism is what I'm studying and the only thing between me finishing my studies and becoming a full-time journalist is my thesis. Right now I took a semester off to travel a bit before having to start to work, having been in New Zealand so far and making my way back to Germany through the US. Apart from working as a journalist, I am also a writer in my free time, writing fiction for young adults.

It's always more interesting to meet people, who live in a city you're new in, especially while travelling. I'm looking forward to meeting new people in the places I visit on my travels and maybe get a glimpse of how they experience the cities they live in. And then share my culture and where I come from with them.

As I work as a journalist in the fields of arts & entertainment, that is pretty much what I love to do in my free time as well. Watch films, go to concerts, see plays and shows in the theatre! I used to train to become a dancer in the field of ballet and contemporary dance, which I still like to do. Running and doing yoga is what calms me down.

In terms of music, I love to listen to bands such as London Grammar, Beirut, Beach House or Mumford & Sons. But also soundtracks & scores, of films such as Like Crazy, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, and many more. My favourite musical ever to sing along to is West Side Story! Those films are also some of my favourite films. Other recent films like Boyhood, Grand Budapest Hotel, Inside Llewyn Davis or Love & Mercy rank high in the list. I feel like TV shows deserve to be mentioned in here as well: Loved the last seasons of Fargo and True Detective, am a big fan of Modern Family, but also some other silly vampire shows like The Originals.
