About Me

I'm an English teacher currently living in the region of Kakheti in the Republic of Georgia. Soon my two year term will finish and I'll be heading back to my home in Pensacola, Florida.

My favorite part about traveling is immersing myself into a new culture and experiencing something completely new and unknown to me. I'm especially interested in the natural beauty, foods and religious history of the countries I visit. I'm pretty adventurous, love to be outdoors and in nature, and am happiest when I'm near the ocean.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in meeting people. After living with a host family for two years in a foreign country, I've learned that the best way to truly understand a culture is to form relationships with it's people. I look forward to the individuals I'll meet in my upcoming travels and the lessons they'll teach me about their heritage.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Served two years in the Peace Corps in the village Gavazi in the Republic of Georgia

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach about my culture, my heritage, my experiences, and about the diversity of the USA.

Learn about each country I visit. Learn about their people, their history, their food, and their beauty.

Share my passion for gaining new experiences through travel.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my time, experiences, and thoughts. I learned many lessons while living abroad. Lessons about myself, travel, culture, teaching, and integrating. It took living in a foreign country for two years for me to become aware of myself and my views on the world, including a newfound appreciation and pride for where I come from.
