Currently cycling from Switzerland to Asia

ABOUT ME

We are a Swiss couple that loves travelling. After our marriage in 2010 we went backpacking for a year, returned home and started again for our next big adventure: Travelling open end from home to Asia by bicycle. We started in April 2013 and have cycled through the Balkan, Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Iran, UAE and Oman so far.

PHILOSOPHY

Travelling slow and seeing more...and getting as far as possible on our bikes! We also believe that life has more to offer than only working and making money, there's so much to explore and to learn from.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are new to Couchsurfing and are very interested in it. After having seen so many wonderful countries and sights during the last years we're getting more and more intested in meeting locals instead of travelling from one sightseeing spot to the next one. Couchsurfing seems to be a great way to get an insight of the country.

Interests

We'd love to get an insight in foreign cultures, love to taste local food, see how people live, experience nature and Miguel is especially interested in travel photography. We also like reading, hiking, scuba diving and love Asian food, great coffee and a good glass of wine.

To quit our jobs and apartment in spring 2013 to live our dream: Exploring the world by bicycle with open end.

Teach, Learn, Share

Travelling by bicycle is quite different from backpacking and if you want, we can give you an insight about this way of travelling. And who knows, maybe we'll convince you and one day you'll explore the world with your own bicycle :)
