ABOUT ME

I recently graduated from university and am now taking time off to travel. I really enjoyed hosting surfers in Santa Barbara- it was fun to meet people from different countries, show them around, share a laugh, and have stimulating conversations. I like playing sports, listening to music, seeing beautiful and interesting places, watching movies, reading, and having long talks over coffee or a beer.

I have hosted some surfers in Santa Barbara and am so grateful to have been hosted by others!

I like to meet new people and learn about different cultures and languages. I enjoy talking about politics, history, psychology, philosophy, movies, and sports. I play basketball, tennis, and volleyball and like trying out new sports (recently I've been experimenting with rock climbing and cycling).

I like to read about psychology, evolution, law, politics, and history. As for novels, my favorite author is Milan Kundera.

My music tastes change so often I don't want to write anything here I'll have to change in a few weeks. I'm open to suggestions... And I love too many movies to attempt making a list.

Generally, TRAVELING (see below for elaboration):

Seeing bio luminescence during a night-time scuba dive at the Gili Islands.
Setting off on an afternoon hike in the mountains of Uttarakhand, India and ending up in a tiny village where I stayed for the next 3 days.
Dancing all night in Berlin and getting some sleep in a sunny park only to head back to the dance floor hours later.
Skiing with skins up a small mountain in Colorado on a night with a bright moon (this is a nice memory, but at the time miserably cold for my California blood).
Deep Water Soloing (rock climbing) in Thailand.
Bicycling along the beautiful rolling hills of the Czech countryside with some wonderful CS hosts.
Getting a glimpse of the gorgeous Alps at the top of a Pre-Alp in Lucerne with another great CS host.
Going to my cousin's wedding in Parma, Italy.
Observing (and envying) Austrian family life and sporting activity in a village outside of Salzburg.
Meeting some amazing newlyweds traveling through North and Central America in their car for a year.
Seeing the land of my father's ancestors: Armenia.
Hanging out in Goa for much longer than planned.
Riding a scooter for three rainy days along the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
New Years Eve with some of my best friends somewhere outside Bangkok.
Exploring the ruins of Angkor by bike.
