About Me

Easy going Brazilian living in Canada for the time being.
Whenever I have the chance I like going for a spontaneous adventure somewhere. I like going for long hikes and have hitchhiked just for the pleasure of it.
I enjoy long and engaging philosophical conversations just as much as I enjoy getting drunk and talking about trivialities for a whole afternoon.
I'm not the type of guy that does precise and meticulous plans, I rather improvise whenever I can and just work with whatever I have in my hands. I might not always have the most pleasant experiences but I have good stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't like the idea of being served by people only because that is their job. I truly believe in kindness between strangers, and couchsurfing seems like the right practice for it.
When I travel I try interacting with locals and be part of their lives in order to get a genuine experience about the city I'm traveling. I'm not the tourist type of person.
Would like to see the city on the perspective of the people that breath that life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music taste is an ever changing thing for me, hard to pin point my favorites.

I enjoy classic Movies, like Akira Kurosawa, Truffaut, 12 Angry Men, Brian de Palma...

Lately I've being into children literature and Analytical Philosophy. I guess University dictates my reading habits at this point in my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have hitchhiked across Canada from coast to coast. It was a great experience that taught me how to accept and refuse kindness from others. I would love to do it again one year.

My friends and I went to Cuba once and we stayed in a resort. After 2 days there I got unquiet because I wasnt learning anything about the place. Then I met this guy fishing in the ocean and he invited me to hang out in his house in Holguin. That was an amazing experience. His mother was a santera and she read my luck. Me and the guy went for drinks in this crazy underground bar. Will never forget those 3 days that Juan hosted me in his house and took me out from that resort.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do enjoy going for long bike rides and hiking trips.
I enjoying talking about philosophy, literature and culture in general.
Will listen and tell stories for hours.
I like cooking for others, there is a magical satisfaction in seeing people enjoying a food of your own making.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like helping in the house and sharing experiences with people. Hotels and restaurants are not my thing.
I can help with the house chores if need be. I do not need a lot of space to be comfortable anywhere.

To be sincere Im not sure what I have to share. I like sharing my stories and world views. After reading philosophy for so long I like to believe I became good in understanding confusions on peoples way of expressing themselves, and sometime I try to help them seeing those confusions.
