ABOUT ME

Heyho.

I'm a 27 year old German computer scientist. Right now I'm adventuring around in New Zealand and don't really want to know what will come afterwards. :)

You can talk to me about life, computer science and whatever other stuff comes up. I see myself as pretty open minded regarding that. I'm also fairly interested in (modern) board games. So if you've got something you want to play, count me in.

I'm more the calm person with whom you can have a chat, play a game and have a glass of wine or a beer. I see myself as not very communicative until I know the people better. Some friends claim me to be pretty communicative... I don't know. I guess you have to find it out yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The focus lies more on surfing than hosting right now since I don't have my own place.

Surfed on the faroes and stayed at some friends place for some days.

Interests

I started to become more and more interested in traveling, seeing beautiful landscapes and cities. I haven't done it that much on my own yet but I'm getting started. :)
One further big interest lies in the art of historical medieval fencing. Everyone thinks that Asian martial arts is the one big thing, but the Europeans also had some nasty shit going.
Other stuff I'm interested in is
- playing board/card games
- playing the guitar (haven't done it for a while though),
- reading (mostly fantasy related) novels,
- wondering about human behavior and
- trying to make good pictures with my camera.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like movies and books that have a twisted (Mulholland Drive was great for that..) or interesting story. The pictures shown and the atmosphere described is also important but it all fails if there is no story. I furthermore enjoy everything that is related to fantasy or based on a historical medieval background.

When it comes to music I'm pretty open minded. I mainly listen to melodic metal but I also enjoy alternative, rock, acoustic music and sometimes even electronic. It really depends on the occasion and the mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Everyone defines amazing differently so I don't really know what to say here.
I could say that I've seen the amazing northern lights if that counts. ;)
