ABOUT ME

I'm a teacher trying to find creative ways to spend my summer, winter and spring break vacations. I am feeling that there is a dearth of adventure in my life and I need to change that. I've lived in Maryland most of my life with the occasional venture out to the Midwest to visit family and a brief stint in Heidelberg, Germany. Traveling is something I really like to do and now that I am a bit more settled in my job, I am hoping to do a bit more of it.

This summer I am traveling with my sister to the southwest to do a lot of photographing, people meeting, journaling/poetry writing, bickering (on those long drives) and happiness finding.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never hosted anyone or done couch surfing myself because I've been a bit skeptical. However, after a college friend's positive experiences, decided to give it a try this summer on my trip to Austin, Arizona and California.
