Making a living as a photographer
ABOUT ME
I'm a friendly, easy-going and life-loving person. Even more so since taking up courchsurfing! I'm always curious to hear the story of other people's lives - or just any story.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is performance art!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I think hosting is a terrific way to have the world come visit you. It also brings out things I like in myself, like taking an interest in your fellow human beings and helping them feel at home.
I love surfing, too. Couchsurfing enlivens the dullest conference, so on work-related trips during my phd studies, I always tried to combine the two. Now that I've finished my phd, well, I guess that leaves even more time for counchsurfing!
兴趣
I love reading and writing, singing and dancing, taking photos, making presents, and talking about society and politics. I'm an active member of the Republican Association of Sweden (we're the ones who want to abolish monarchy). I'm also a not-so-active member of the Donaldist Society of Sweden (donaldist as in Donald Duck).

音乐、电影和书籍
I like to think I prefer high-brow intellectual films and books - but the truth is "Spiderman 2" almost made me cry. I listen to Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Frank Zappa, The Smiths, Buddy Holly, Procol Harum, Jimi Hendrix, Edith Piaf, and Pink Floyd. And, blushingly as appropriate, to recordings of myself singing Christmas carols.
我做过的一件不可思议的事情
One late summer evening several years ago, I was fishing in a tiny lake in the north of Sweden when a big pike took the bait. After a long struggle, I managed to lift the fish out of the water, and, deciding it was too big for eating, released it. But the poor pike was so exhausted it just lay floating, belly-up, in the murky water. I couldn't just leave it there ... So I undressed and waded out, my feet sinking deep into the cool mud on the bottom of the lake. Holding the pike upright and helping it breathe, I walked on towards deeper water. And it wasn't until then - water to my waist, feeling guilty, carrying a huge, helpless pike in my arms - that I realised I was having one of the amazing moments of my life ...
(Yes, the fish did recover after a while.)

I'll be happy to tell you about space physics, Swedish politics, or perhaps how to make a gingerbread house. Please do share one of your favorite recipes with me! Tips about good books, travel destinations and photography are also very much appreciated.
