We are Norina (32) and Alexandre (30), currently on a sabbatical for a year and slow travelling in Europe since February 2023. After six months of travels, we are convinced that the best part of it is meeting new people, exchanging ideas and discovering other cultures. Norina used to couchsurf as a student, and Alex is now enthusiastic about trying it out. Travelling only by train, bus, ferry or sailboat, we spend a lot of time hiking, camping, sailing, reading and writing and playing cards.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Alex is a jazz lover and likes electro for nights out, Norina prefers indie/singer-songwriter music but can party to whatever music (probably not german schlager, though she has never tried…;))
Movies&series: yes! no specific genre, but we both dislike horror movies.
Books: Lots of them! Science-Fiction (both), Fantasy (Norina), historic (Alex), non-fiction (both), currently Ursula Le Guin and Terry Pratchett are two of our favourite authors.

We just crossed the Barents Sea to Svalbard as part of the crew on a wooden tall ship
