About Me

The one question I hate the most is, "Where are you from?". Why? Well it's complicated... I'm half Chinese from Hong Kong, half Italian (from Italy...). Which can then lead to more questions like "How can you be both?" "Where did you grow up?" "Where are you REALLY from?" That's for you to find out when we meet! For now, to make things easier, I say I'm from London because that's where I currently live!

I love to travel and have been travelling my whole life. Last year I travelled around the world mostly solo for 5 months and had the time of my life! Now it's back to work to save for another similar experience. I also run a cheeky lil travel blog/vlog with my boyfriend called Buttpacker because I love honing on my photography/videography/writing skills while I travel. You can check out our antics here:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Like 99% of Couchsurfing profiles: To meet new people and learn more about different cultures and places!

For those of you looking for a cultural exchange, you're in luck as with me you get more bang for your buck! Buy 1 get 1 free, what more could you want! Oh and I speak 8 languages so if there's a language you wanna practice, I'm happy to practice with you!

Interests

I'm pretty easygoing and often feel like I have too many interests, why must things interest me so much! I sometimes feel like I'm a jack of all trades and master of none (well I guess I'm ultimately a linguist, but then again I'm Asian so I'M NEVER GOOD ENOUGH. Thanks mum.)

I also play guitar, ukulele, piano and sing. I love going to music festivals, raves and parties - especially when I travel, exploring the nightlife in different countries is one of my favourite things! I also have an addiction to raw fish - especially SUSHI! But also just love seafood in general (I'm pescetarian!).

Music, Movies, and Books

Love listening to music in any language, from all over the world : Brazilian funk, reggaeton, Kpop, Jpop, Russian music, reggae, electro swing, electro funk, WHATEVER. If it's good, it's good. Just not a big fan of country...

I hate choosing favourites when it comes to movies (or music or books I guess). If I had to choose one, I dunno, In the Mood For Love by Wong Kar Wai, cinematography on POINT. Also because it makes me SO homesick!

I used to read a lot when I was younger. Then I got a smartphone and started partying and that stopped. When I was in Tahiti recently, a guy I met at a hostel gave me Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut and I devoured it in a day. Still has been fucking with my head.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once hitchhiked from London to Timisoara, Romania for charity. It took about 48 hours, and 12 more hours later. I didn't sleep in a bed, let a lone lie down in 52 hours. I also didn't take a shower, let a lone change my clothes in 52 hours. For me, it was crazy.

Don't think it's particularly amazing, only kinda cool... give me a few more years and hopefully I will have something truly amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can practice any of the 8/9 languages I speak with you, though my German is nicht so gut (and my Portugues is more like Portuñol) so you may have to help me! After living in several countries around the world, and travelling to 55, no doubt I have lots of travel tips and advice I would be more than happy to share and help you plan your upcoming trips.
I also cook some mean Italian food, with my speciality being risotto. Also do a stellar aubergine/eggplant parmigiana! Thank you nonna <3

If you're into Chinese/Asian food, I can only do noodles, but noodles are life!
