ABOUT ME

I'm 21 years old and just want to experience everything I can. I am passionate about books, art, music, film, and philosophy. I love meeting new people, having a good time, riding bikes, hiking, and camping. Ever the adventurous sort, I'd love it if you could show me the fun, crazy, and strange things in your city!

PHILOSOPHY

I think Hunter Thompson sums it up best: "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'Wow! What a Ride!'" I believe that everyone makes a choice to either follow a prescribed path and play it safe or to live life outside of the box and experience as much as they can. I'm choosing the second: I want to see and do as much as I can and always do what I think is right, not what others tell me is right.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, I'm just traveling. Upon my return to the U.S. I plan to start hosting as soon as I get a place. I look forward to meeting people from all over the world and helping them out with a place to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any CouchSurfing experience yet, but I plan to change that very soon with my epic European adventure this summer. I have a few friends who recommended CouchSurfing because they had awesome experiences. Basically, I want to join the CouchSurfing ranks (please help me do that : )!)

The most amazing thing I have seen is the ruins at Chitzen Itza. I have yet to do anything TOO amazing with my life, although I'm working on it.

The most important thing I've learned is that I don't know anything. The more education I amass, the more books I read, the more places I see only gives me new perspectives and ideas and makes me realize just how little I know.
