About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To thoroughly enjoy all facets of life, including family, community, travel, friends and adventures.

ABOUT ME

This winter I have enjoyed the snow, building snowmen and sculpting. I have also spent many hours in my studio doing art work. The rest of my time, when I am not involved in community committees and functions, I devote to enjoying my family and working out at the Aquatic Center.
My wife and I have had a great time hosting Couch Surfers over the years. We do enjoy traveling and look forward to staying with some CSer's on our next trip.

PHILOSOPHY

We constantly seek to expand our boundaries, to know the beauty of other places and cultures. Our travels have enriched us by exposing us to amazing sights, incredible artwork and fascinating experiences but above all we have enjoyed the people we have met in traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, we have hosted, toured and fed a great number of visitors over our years as members of this vibrant organization.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have truly enjoyed all our visitors. The most astounding were the 9 children and their amazing mother who arrived in a large van with 10 bicycles attached to it. They were on their return trip to Montreal. What a great family adventure they were on!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the sun rise over Istanbul from the balcony of a penthouse apartment.

Teach, Learn, Share

If 43 snowmen melt and fall apart, strewing the yard with their body parts, don't despair...Gather their remains together and form them into a giant ball of snow. Get a ladder and build a second and a third ball on top of the first. Make eyes, a nose and a large smile on the top ball and, voila!-one huge reincarnation of all the lost snowmen. Be resourceful...as the big one is worn away by the weather, simply use your imagination to carve different images: a swan, a fish, a flower, whatever the snow suggests. You never need to mourn the loss of a snowman, his melting offers a multitude of suggestions for other creations.
