ABOUT ME

We live on the island of Pargas (in Finnish: Parainen, 23 km south from Turku) and are happy to host anyone who enjoys simple cottage life or camping in summer. Also families are welcome. The centre of Pargas is 2-3 km away and there are buses to Turku once or twice every hour.

PHILOSOPHY

Live slowly. We find the cittá slow-movement interesting, promoting slow travel, slow (locally produced) food, a slower everyday life... starting with ourselves is always the hardest part. ;)

Migratory birds rather than tourists. Instead of travelling for short holidays, we prefer to live and experience everyday life in new places. Although we don't migrate according to seasons, our friends often call us the migratory birds, or birds of passage (as in the profile name). When we fly overseas, we like it to be for several months, preferably a year or two...
