ABOUT ME
Recently due to my field trips and trips in general along with growing up I've had an urge to see what's life like in other cities, villages or whatever, outside our beautiful Southwest Finland. Don't get this wrong however, I love my home town and at least in Finland I wouldn't move anywhere else. It's just that as a student of geography it's kind of mandatory to broaden one's perspectives by traveling and that is a necessity I gladly accept. I love travelling but sometimes coming home can be the best part of the trip.
On a more detailed level - to come up with subjects for discussion when meeting me - I'm a keen sportsman who loves to try out new things. At this moment my favourite interest is snowboarding. Another sport I've been into for some years is taekwondo in which I'm trying to reach my first black belt, but there's still a long way to go. I also picked up kickboxing in my training schedule last autumn, which has proved to be great fun. With a group of friends of mine we also acquired a small sailing boat (30ft) to go sailing on our free time in the archipelago! Sailing is really what I've been up to and talking about this summer.
PHILOSOPHY
I try not to follow any strict guide lines that someone could call philosophies. I just try to be nice to everyone and expect the same from others. Sometimes I get let down of course, but that's just life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As a geographer and a hometown enthusiast I probably can show people around Turku better than your average Joe. By this I mean not just where you can find your nearest McDonald's (which is actually nowhere to be found in the Turku central business district) but showing beautiful places to have a picnic or trying to explain the history of our town.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Writing this I naturally haven't had any experiences of my own about couch surfing, but the idea is so ridiculously good that it's great someone came up with it. Many of my friends have been interested in CS and told about the possibilities and advantages of it.
兴趣
Sailing, taekwondo (one reason why I'm going to study in Korea!), kickboxing, seafaring in general, snowboarding, music (I listen to practically every genre apart from dubstep, I need guidance on that!), longboarding, football, nature. I like maps, too!

音乐、电影和书籍
Music is my passion in that way that it's something that can physically make you feel good. I listen to most genres and despise people who at parties can't listen to what the guy or girl at the laptop is playing. Most of my life I've listened to rock and from there I've developed an interest to the lyricism of rap and the energy of electronic music. I also play guitar although being just a beginner in it.
Favorite movies I remember just now: the Brasilian Tropa de Elite 1 and 2, the Korean Oldboy thriller and let's say I liked Moon a lot too. Considering literature I'm not a good reader of fiction but recently I've progressed to the 4th volume of the Song of Ice and Fire, and perhaps my favorite books are written by Khaleid Hosseini.
我做过的一件不可思议的事情
A couple of years ago I conquered a goal I set already as a child that was jumping off an airplane with a parachute. That made me think of the possibilities that were open to me just by really having a motivation to do something. Traveling can be quite frightening or cumbersome but those are just some obstacles that can easily be overcome. And I'm afraid of heights.
教,学,和分享
As mentioned I have a passion for geography and my hometown and therefore can teach people things about it. I also like cooking (that doesn't mean I excel in it) and got some nice recepies in my sleeves; which wouldn't be a better way to get to know people than by hanging out in the kitchen?
Also:
Sun rises from the east and sets in the west and that's what I've needed to know about navigation so far. Guess I haven't been to complex enough cities yet. River crossings (at least in Lapland) are usually safest where the river is broadest. Hmm, guess I'd know more if I thought hard enough.
