ABOUT ME

This reminds me a lot of the awkward self descriptions they used to have on Bebo and Myspace.

I'm a primary teacher with a big love for science (especially space stuff and physics) and sports (most except for cricket, snooker and lawn bowls). I'm from the west country (born in Bristol, raised in Somerset) so naturally I think that cider is the best thing in the world. Especially scrumpy.

I'm quite quiet but love being around interesting people who can talk about things that I'm passionate about. I like to be a bit spontaneous and do things on the spur of the moment.

Hiking and generally being outside is amazing. Me and my partner have been to a few truly outstanding places in the UK and in Sweden too that could take your breath away if you went there too. Especially the Brecon Beacons.

I've started climbing recently and I love it. Definitely need to get better though so anyone who stays and has some tips would be very welcome.

I love drinking black coffee or tea, but smoothies are the best drinks ever by a long long way. Except when it's time for a little cider every now and then.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to be able to host people to share some of the amazing places I know in the South West from growing up.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My partner has hosted a few people and I've been there while it's happened which has been nice. We've only met lovely people so far.

Intereses

I love playing hockey and have done since I was 11. This is field hockey though, not Ice or Roller which a lot of people think of first. It's great to play and good to watch too.

I'm a huge Newcastle United fan although I've only been to a few games (living in the south west and them being in the north east is a bit of a mission) but I still (sometimes, depending on how they play) enjoy occasionally going to a pub to watch a game.

Welsh rugby is something I absolutely love (mother is Welsh so I'm allowed to support them) and I get very excited around international rugby time.

Música, películas y libros

I love comedy and action films. Blood diamond is a film I'll never forget. The Emperor's New Groove has been my favourite for an unhealthily long time and I cried loads of times at Toy Story 3.

I have always loved the Hobbit books, the Lord of the Rings books nearly killed me and I love the Twits or anything written by Roald Dahl. Julia Donaldson books are also fantastic.
