Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I will listen to just about anything, but my personal picks tend to fall along the indie, alt-country, folk, and punk lines. Currently on repeat are Lucero, Shins, Alkaline Trio, Yo La Tengo, Pavement, Shearwater/Okkervil River, Fugazi, Sunny Day, Osker, Rogue Wave, Trampled By Turtles, Wolf Parade, The National, Songs:Ohia, and Flaming Lips. The Smiths, The Cure, and Joy Division are also very good fall backs.
Movies: Sunshine, 12 Angry Men, Lawrence of Arabia, Star Wars (IV, V, and VI) Indiana Jones (I, II, and III, no crystal skulls), MASH, 28 Days Later, Let the Right One In, basically anything involving Zombies, Vampires, or Werewolves, anything Tarantino, anti-hero, negative-utopia, Sci-Fi, Kubric, and Lynch.
Books: Vonnegut, Camus, Cormac McCarthy, James Joyce, Tom Robbins.
