About Me
‼️Attention: This profile contains blood, sweat, and tears—not daddy's money. 😉
I’m Burak, or Notloc if that’s more your style. I recently left a small city called Sivas and landed in Istanbul after graduation, chasing my travel dreams. I’m working in a hostel we can share my room if you are interested. Doing Worldpackers right now.
Let’s skip the usual stuff—I’m not gonna tell you I’m “easy-going” or that “I love traveling” because, honestly, who doesn’t say that? Let’s meet up and you decide who I am. I am living in the heart of Istanbul.
We didn't start the fire
It was always burning, since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No, we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it
But when we are gone
It will still burn on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because travel is more than just ticking off places on a map—it’s about the connections and stories you pick up along the way. I’m all about diving into new experiences, and Couchsurfing gives me a way to do that, whether I’m exploring a new city or hanging out with locals. Istanbul might be home now, but I’m still chasing those unforgettable memories and friendships that make every trip worth it.

Music, Movies, and Books
When I’m not on the move or chasing the next thrill, I’m deep into music, movies, and books. I’m all about classics like "Bohemian Rhapsody" and trippy sci-fi like "Interstellar." I aim to knock out about 10 books a year, but it’s all about quality over quantity.
Let’s talk music, break down some wild sci-fi plots, or trade book recommendations. Always down for a good conversation!
Every time the smell of cigarettes comes from the street
Is the same time a girl opens a door for a guy and runs into his arms.
Sorrows, screams, tears on a pillow
Memories, regreats, saudades.
Two kids found something together
Two kids are no more the same.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've always been drawn to the thrill of extreme sports. From leaping off a 4,500-meter-high mountain with just a parachute to hand-feeding fishes while scuba diving, I live for adrenaline. Plus, my solo travels across Europe during my Erasmus in Portugal added another layer of excitement to my journey.
And I am not dead yet so I think it’s a pretty amazing thing too.🤣
Teach, Learn, Share
I know I said I recently moved to Istanbul, but I’ve actually lived here for almost two years before, so you can count on me as your local guide. I’m fluent in Turkish culture and language, and I’m always down to share my knowledge. Whether it’s tips on navigating the city, insights into Turkish life, or just some good old-fashioned bargaining skills—I’ve got you covered.
But it’s not all about me teaching. I’m here to learn too. I’m open to new cultures, languages, and whatever else you’ve got to share. Let’s link up and swap some wisdom!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Ready for some great conversations? I’m a talkative guy, so we’ll have plenty to chat about—though I can respect a moment of quiet if needed. I might not be a top chef, but I can whip up some tasty Turkish dishes that’ll give your taste buds a treat. I’m also happy to share insider tips about Istanbul and help you discover hidden gems around the city. Whether it’s engaging talks, delicious food, or local secrets, I’ve got you covered!
