About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience living.

ABOUT ME

I'm a black female who's finally in her 30s, although it never feels like it. I live life for experiences and not particularly for titles or abbreviations attached to my name. I'm open-minded. I love to laugh & to make other laugh and think. I like to think I'm a nice, friendly person. I don't generally like to talk about myself in profiles. I love face-to-face conversations and making new friends. I love learning new things. I think I'm a big thing...but I think you are as well. :-)

PHILOSOPHY

Live your life for you but prepare yourself for criticism & disappointing others. You are your own person. You can give all of your power to other people for them to dictate how you live your life, or you can take your power back and shape your own world. Do what makes you happy but always be mindful of others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Give a hand, take a hand. I believe in community and fellowship. Money doesn't always have to be a factor in life experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had the opportunity to surf yet but we've had a couple of people on our couch in Omaha. I've moved several times over the past four years which has kept me from hosting, but not from meeting new people.

Interests

Sociology, history, current events, tv shows, internet, poetry, music, writing, hanging out with friends, traveling, generally having a good time.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are too many to count. I love music and am constantly discovering artists. I love many different movies but find it hard to watch one more than 2 or 3 times. I read more nonfiction than fiction, more magazines than books, more on-line than hard copies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think many things in life are amazing. Naming one thing somewhat takes away from the amazement of, or normalizes, others. If I *must*, taking the train through west America.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Ireland

Countries I’ve Lived In
