About Me

Hi 👋🏽

My name is Nour, and I'm passionate about experiencing new cultures, learning languages and travelling the world (on a tight carbon budget). I share this account with my fiancee Michaëla, travel partner and love of my life.

Our friends see us as an open-minded, friendly, and helpful couple. Looking forward to share stories and experiences with you to see if it's true !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

From a host's point of view, it's great hosting people from all over the world ! We don't have enough time (and money) to see all the places we want to visit, so we enjoy having a "glimpse" of different cultures thanks to the stories and dishes the surfers are willing to share.

Paris is also shockingly expensive (especially for those starting in life), so we're willing to host people whenever we can. If available, we also like to show unknown sides of Paris, and discover new places we've never been to.

From a traveller's point of view, we can't think of a better way of travelling.
By staying at a local's place, we're soaking in noises, images, tastes, vibes that we can't find at a Hotel. We're experiencing our travel at a deeper level, literally putting ourselves in the local's shoes (we promise to give them back before leaving).

We're also meeting amazing people, some of them becoming close friends, and discovering new ways of thinking that made us change our perception about meaningful subjects. We see Couchsurfing as a non-ending school of life !

Teach, Learn, Share

We cook all of our meals and like to do cakes and desserts on weekends.
Would love to share our favorite recipes and learn about yours, always looking for new cooking techniques and happy to discover exotic ingredients !

We're also passionate about language learning.
It amazes us how speaking a language (even a little) changes completely the way you experience new cultures while travelling . It's a tool that connects you with your surroundings, and brings conversations with locals to the next level, allowing you to meet more amazing and interesting people.

As Mandela once said : "If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart."

I'm fluent in three languages (arabic, french, english), but always looking for an opportunity to improve the ones I'm trying to learn (korean, spanish, German). Michaela speaks french, english, italian, spanish and is currently learning arabic and Korean.
