About Me
CURRENT MISSION
spread the smiles! I'm sure I was given these chubby cheeks for a reason...
ABOUT ME
I am on a constant mission to persue my interests and live within the magical rhelms that surround me each day! I enjoy nearly everything, but particularly things that can be done outside or that involve nature. Primitive living, outdoor skills, herbalism, and other ancient crafts and practices fascinate me...climbing, gardening, brain-teasers, hitch-hiking, sewing, poi, dumpster-diving, and sharing experiences with others!
Although I find myself traveling quite a bit right now, I look forward to living on some land with a garden and a goat, having all my dried herbs and vegetables hanging from my ceiling, and my socks drying in front of the fireplace!
PHILOSOPHY
Even the ordinary becomes extraordinary when I stop to look at the probability of this moment in the context of earth's history. To be here with a hot cup of pepper tea, my grandpops hollerin' about back spasms, my grandma working out the word jumble in the paper, and Halloween decorations peering in from every which way...mmmmhm.
I can pull the best from every moment, even when it doesn't have tea and grandparents in it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It was not so long ago that I was a newcomer to CS and received one of THE warmest welcomes, so I try to do the same for others!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Currently have hosted one girl who exchanged a great no-bake cookie recipe and many laughs for a night on the extra bed. Great evening! Since then I have been traveling or otherwise couch-less, but have been fortunate enough to get involved in local CS networking and a fair number of friends have been made at potlucks and other such get togethers. I do look forward to hosting once more!
As far as surfing, you mean to say I can be as sober as a Mormon schoolgirl and you'll still offer me up a couch? Wait...and I'm not in trouble for anything and being banished from my side of the bed? If you say so!
Interests
Rock climbing, wilderness skills, alternative medicine, formal medicine, foraging, herbalism, primitive living, art, composting, cooking, being self-sufficient (DIY anything and everything!), kids, community integration, languages, hitchhiking, instruments(yes, all of them)...I really am interested in learning about anything. Except maybe how to make Velveeta. Although it would be nice to know how so that I never make anything like it on accident!

Music, Movies, and Books
Lots! Although my movie trivia is lacking. Thinking about withdrawing from life to fully take advantage of the free month Netflix offer :) Particularly enjoy historical fiction and humor as far as books go, and my music taste is ever-expanding.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was in Hawaii with the fam some years ago and saw hot lava. Apparently the locals live a little greener and roast their hot dogs over the natural lava heat but, being in a helicopter, I had to keep a disappointing distance (and all my toes)
Teach, Learn, Share
I've got a slew of random facts and some select slivers of extensive knowledge. I can share a tidbit or teach you about rock climbing or raising animals. Origami, art, inventing, and made-from-scratch are other things I love sharing with folks.
Would love to learn practical skills; car mechanics, solar panel functioning, and anything physiological or pertaining to why or how something works!
