ABOUT ME

I am motivated by a desire to capture our reality, our time. I feel that video camera is the best tool to preserve the past, reflect about present time and to try to predict the future.

Filmmaking is a way to communicate with large masses of people. Language of images is a universal language of communication. It is a chance to immerse myself into an unfamiliar environment; to live and understand different type of human existence. Filming process gives me the opportunity to travel around the world and observe life with all its variety.

I am interested in the possibility of a documentary film with the highly visible subjective views of the author, when the director tells the story in the first person or he is directly involved in the events. Often an interesting location is a starting point for me to develop new ideas for a movie. Mainly I use a mixture of documentary and fiction film as a technique.

I can cook a traditional Russian food. I can take a photo or make a micro-film about you. I can teach the Russian language. Also I can teach to: swim breaststroke, grow plants and make documentaries.
