Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To tell stories no one's heard
ABOUT ME
I'm a writer, photographer, filmmaker, father, husband and vagabond. I am a traveling real estate and industrial photographer. For that, I drive upwards of 30,000 miles a year. I despise hotels and dislike who I am when I wake up in an anonymous room. I like kind, interesting folks much better and have been greatly enriched through my CS experiences.
PHILOSOPHY
I'll do almost anything to learn more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I travel a lot. I used to host but don't often anymore as I have young children. That just makes it complex. Still, I love to meet people and share their homes and, hopefully, add to their collection of stories.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed on couches belonging to friends of friends, hotel room floors, church basements and enjoyed it all.
Interests
The media and keeping it democratic, for and about people, not corporations.
I report on issues of race, class, gender, media and equality issues.
Music, Movies, and Books
Vonnegut, Phillip K. Dick, David Lynch, Smiths, Misfits, Miles Davis.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiked along the Gulf coast 2-weeks after Katrina. Witnessed the births of my son and daughter. Rode Amtrak cross country. Watched a sea turtle lay her clutch in Florida. Cobbled my way through my hack Spanish to make friends with man fro Nicaragua.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, music and adventure.
