About Me

ABOUT ME

Happy and motivated, willing to explore the world.
I am simple person, amateur runner, urban cyclist, short-term dreamer, passionate hitch-hiker, rational optimist, ngo member and fan, young researcher, city lover and nature explorer.

PHILOSOPHY

smile and then share it;
don't sleep to long because every day is special in a way;
everyone has a story to tell and in all of them there is a lesson;
changing the world is possible

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I participate mostly as I surfer. So far I've surfed more than hosted and guided in my home town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started in 2009 I travelled about a week through Italy, where I met many surfers and visited nice places, the experience I got is outstanding. At the beginning I did not realise how open and positive all the CS people were.
I also met couchsurfers here in Wroclaw for half a day to hang out and spend some time together once or twice.

Interests

Three main are (alphabetically): science, sports, sustainable transport.
1. I'm interested in science, research and that's why I've decided to start PhD studies. I can tell you more about that when we meet.
2. I love sports for all my life. Currently my number one to practise is running. I've run a marathon twice. But my interest will change in the springtime when eg. playing basketball outdoor is easy.
3. I really like reading about and discussing all the stuff about public transport, urban planing, bikes in cities and so on. At the moment this is the area where I believe I can change the world (so in this context my city).

Music, Movies, and Books

I've always had this part empty. Books - I'm not a fan of those but I don't feel any ashamed. Somehow I've never managed to imagine deeply all the stories that are inside, instead I tend to think about a hundred other things and I'm not focused enough on the book. Sure I read from time to time, but recently my shelf is filled rather with books that are a lesson rather than an entertaining story.
Music and movies? I enjoy them more than books, but still that's not a huge part of my life. However I want to be a drummer in one of my next lives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Come on, the one amazing thing is always in front! Well, could be of course the most amazing so far. So as I have to choose one... I don't know. I have some nice memories that can't be compared for some reason. Just to mention something and prove myself that my life isn't boring: asking for bread in remote Georgian mountains where people don't use money, hitchhiking 4000km in few weeks and every time cycling in heavy rain in my red bike cloak.

Teach, Learn, Share

The first goes teaching. To be honest I think it's not a perfect word for relationships developed on CS because I consider as a partnership. So teach->learn does not make sense for me here.
But... what does make sense is share->learn and this is definitely something I'm extremely eager to do, both ways. I want to learn anything you can share, simply because, even if it may sound awkward, I like learning. I can share my stories, travelling experience, my beliefs and all wired thoughts I have.
