About Me

ABOUT ME

I grew up on a farm which probably helped to feed my love for the outdoors. That led me to doing my undergrad in Environmental Studies. And then I realized I was more passionate about the connection between environment and society....so now I've gone into international cooperation and food security....next, who knows...
In the mean time I've been taking every opportunity to live in different parts of the world: whether that be through university exchanges, volunteering or work. Overall, life has been pretty wonderful :)

PHILOSOPHY

live simply, so others may simply live

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch surferd in Australia, Israel, Palistine, and Finland. And most recently I was able to host while I was in Italy. All AMAZING experiences!

Interests

I love gardening and preparing wholesome food alongside the people around me. I love good music (I play a bit of guitar and attempt to belt out a few tunes simultaneously), I love exploring natural environments (hiking, canoe trips ect.), I love learning about other cultures, and overall I just enjoy life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Watching a leather back sea turtle laying eggs for the first time.
-A Finnish night out - watching the sun just kiss the horizon and then come back up again.
-A day in Hebron, West Bank - the city of 250,000 Palestinians and over 500 Jewish settlers
-Visiting a logging protest site in Tasmania which had the most beautifully eclectic group of people and the most extravagant protesting equipment.
-Everything about living and working with the farmers in the province of Guantanamo, Cuba for 7 months.
-snorkelling on Ningaloo Reef
-glaciers and whales and dolphins oh my!
-I'm still impressed by an Egyptians ability to carry a huge (and I mean HUGE) tray of pita bread on his head while riding a bike.
- Gay pride in Palermo, Sicily!!
......and much much more (this question is really hard to answer)
