About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel, experience, serve, love and grow :)
ABOUT ME
Recent-ish (year and 5 months) transplant to beloved Seattle. I'm a Rochester, NY native and proud of it! I found out about CS while studying abroad in Amsterdam and also fell in love with travelling and stepping outside my comfort zone. I hope to do a lot more of that and share it with others.
PHILOSOPHY
We're really all connected in very positive ways and even the smallest gestures can add up and cause big change. There is power in collective consciousness and intention.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started by talking with friends and hearing stories, then first couchsurfed in march 2010 in seattle and portland. Also surfed in Albany and Toronto. Haven't been able to travel much in a while until now and am going to try to surf some more. I attended quite a few events/activities hosted by the Rochester CS group. I try to host when I can but am always up for a drink or coffee! Planning on going to more Seattle CS events in the near future.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had nothing but a positive experience so far. To be involved really feels like I am a part of something and have felt the kindness and support of strangers like I've never felt before. I think I will be a lifetime couchsurfer!
Interests
I like what I studied in school - cultural anthropology and public health, and talking to anyone about anything related to those things, I love knitting, balinese music ensembles, staying active, sustainability, hiking, biking, good coffee, good beer, good food, and good company
