I am a couchsurfer based in Toronto, Canada where I was born and raised. My earliest encounter with couchsurfing was through a friend who recommended the website as a way to meet other travelers in foreign cities.

I have excellent travel karma and good luck in general. I've had many "near-miss" disaster moments and I am fortunate to have met many kind people along the way. I have a bit of a wandering spirit and get along with other folks who are open-minded and who share the same natural curiosity for other languages, cultures, and experiences.

I used to work in the psychology field (No, I can't read minds -- although you'd be surprised how much people tell you without saying much). It makes for interesting conversation and the occasional piece of wisdom.

Couchsurfing is by far my favourite way to travel.

A friend recommended the website as a way to meet other travelers in foreign cities. I enjoy language and food exchanges the most and otherwise open to new perspectives from fellow couchsurfers.
