About Me

I have always lived far from home. From a small town in Vietnam I was sent to a bigger city to attend school. Later in life I go even further, to Italy and Scotland.

I am fond of seeing new places, trying new things, just like a song says:

"There's more to be seen, than can ever be seen.
More to do than can ever be done."
(Circle of Life - Lion King)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It started with a piece of news I read quite long ago. I started with hanging out with foreigner when they visited Ho Chi Minh city.

My first 'surf' experience was in Boston in 2010. It was indeed one of the best moment. I got a chance to eat in good restaurants that the local knows best. And also learn about interesting places to go and see.

Interests

books, writing, taking photos, new places, running, icecream, engaging talk with people, swimming

Music, Movies, and Books

Eric Hutchinson, Katie Melua, Bright Eyes, Jason Mraz...

Everything is illuminated, The Fall...

The catcher in the rye (J. D. Salinger)
Totto-chan, the little girl at the window (Tetsuko Kuroyanagi)
The last lecture (Paul Ranch)
The Alchemist (Paulo Coelho)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel alone half the globe from Vietnam to the US before turning 20. I worked there in the summer, earned some money for the 2-week-trip in the US.

Watching the Perseid meteor in one of the darkness place on a mountain.

Do cliff diving wherever I can :)

Cycling around the countryside of Piedmonte region, with the moon shining bright above.

Go hiking in Dolomites. All the trips are wonderful!!!

Staying afloat on the calm beach, while the sun is going down.

The amazing tasty Shanghai dumplings filled with soup inside the skin that I ate in New York.

Teach, Learn, Share

I feel that there's no one thing that I'm especially strong at, so it's hard to pinpoint down on things I can help with.

But generally I like to share what I know.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Croatia, Slovenia, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Italy, United States, Viet Nam
