ABOUT ME
I just finished up 3 years working in NYC, a city I love. I've been awaiting being free to travel for a long time and here goes nothing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only had two days in Norway, but I got the most out of them because I was surfing (in Flam and Bergen) and got shown a fantastic time!
Have had a great time repaying the favor by hosting in SF, and previously NYC, as well.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'll just list one of each:
I love the movie Sideways, a movie filled with regrets, and told through bottles of wine.
I just finished Swann's Way, the first book of In Search of Lost Time, and was blown away by how readable and beautiful it was. I can't wait to start the second.
I'm a big Nicholas jaar fan, and I recently went to a Darkside concert, which is his collaborative project. Very very fun.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I love this question.
The first thing that comes to mind is: Rowing a canoe through the Peruvian Amazon at 1:00am, as delicately and silently as we could, on a late night attempt to find crocodiles. The nighttime jungle pulsed around our boats, I was looking up at an unfamiliar southern sky, and I had to try hard to suppress my laughter as flying fish kept landing inside our boat.
We never found those crocodiles, to the dismay of our guide and the delight of my group, but the experience was so vivid and wonderful. I still can't quite believe that the rainforest feels like that nightly.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I can help you improve your frisbee throw. Or I can offer you some mathematics help, should you need it. Or some fun conversation and good company.
If you show me your favorite thing about where you live, I promise I'll be (genuinely) enthusiastic about doing/seeing/eating it. That's my favorite way to learn something new.
