ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Eau Claire, WI. At the age of 12 I moved with my parents to Belarus. Since then I have travelled to many places and experienced many wonderful things. The urge to travel entered my blood at that point and has only grown stronger as I have become an adult.

Travelling, for me, is a form of growing. I feel that the more I see of this Earth and of other people's cultures, the more my world view changes; the more I understand it all.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host people on their way through Palmer, AK. I meet with others for dinner/drinks when I cannot host them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few people now and have had some great experiences. I was so nervous at first to let some stranger in my house, but I have been pleasantly surprised to find how easy it becomes to trust a stranger when a situation forces me to trust. I feel like I have grown as a human being by allowing these experiences to happen.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have watched Mount McKinley fade away at sunset and watched it rise over Waikiki. I have kayaked among seals and under glaciers. I have watched the changing of the guard at both Lenin's tomb (Moscow) and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (D.C.).
