Hi, I'm Nik! Originally from Sweden and now living Da Nang. Before coming here I stayed in Istanbul for a time.

I'm very calm and open-minded. I work online in the world of e-commerce, drink coffee and visit cafes a lot of the time these days. I find couchsurfing to be great for meeting new people.

Back in Sweden, I was working as a municipal secretary in a tiny village in the middle of the country. I've always been looking out in the world and spent a lot of time abroad already. And last summer when I had the chance, I decided I would live a different life somewhere else. Now here I am.

Last time I visited Da Nang and Vietnam was in 2019. Around that time I was living in Thailand, hosting and going on many trips with my fellow couchsurfers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My CS experience has been great! I've met people from all over the world. I hope to continue doing so!

I've lived abroad for longer periods of time and really enjoy getting involved in new places and cultures. And meeting people through couchsurfing has been a great way of making new connections.

Interests

I really like couchsurfing because of the opportunities to meet so many of you interesting people! I have hosted and met many people thanks to this app.

Traveling is also an interest of mine, but right now just staying in one location. My days consists of working online in the world of e-commerce and cafe hopping around town ☕✅😋

I love staying longer periods of time in single locations and getting to know cultures and how people live.

My latest travels consist of visiting Turkey a few times since 2022. Then, in the summer of 2023 I quit my job and went abroad on a permanent basis.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The ONE thing has to be to let go of ordinary life and move abroad. Now living in South East Asia!! Even thinking about it makes me smile.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm starting to learn some neighborhoods around in Da Nang. For visitors in the city I can recommend cafes for remote work and places to eat.

I speak a little bit of Vietnamese and can perhaps give some pointers in that too.

But hey, I'd be more than happy to share a meal, see the world from your eyes, and learn new things!
