About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring the edges of the world, and caring for patients.

ABOUT ME

I'm a busy Emergency Medicine physician/researcher, with a passion for traveling. I recently lived as a researcher in Lima, Peru. What I love about my travels, besides the amazing food, is fostering long-lasting connections to develop a worldwide network of friends. I would love to return the favor by hosting some fantastic people traveling the US. I'm originally from California, and miss it dearly. I've lived in San Francisco, Washington DC, London, Ecuador, Singapore, Peru and have loved each place dearly. Despite me not getting much time outside of medicine, I still love to camp, eat good food, try new breweries and wineries in the area, and find the hidden secrets of the area.

PHILOSOPHY

Love and care as if everyone is your brother or sister!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting in the grand ol city of Washington. But loves to head out to CS parties in the area too!....when i'm free from my books and work :(

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted mostly, and surfed around a bit. I love to hear the variety of experiences and backgrounds people come from. Even though I'm super busy, couchsurfers have always been great guests!I always hope to learn about the world around me through people. Like my patients, couchsurfers open up a world of fascination into the life experiences that I am happy to share for such a short moment!

Interests

Get me outdoors! Whether it be climbing, camping, kayaking, rafting, XC and Downhill MTB, or long-distance biking, I'll be there. Otherwise, it's learning about the world around me, running, exploring, traveling, and eating GREAT food!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It may not sound amazing, but simply sitting at a friend's home in Luang Nam Tha, Laos, drinking the afternoon away with some homemade Lao Lao. Then one of the guys decides he wants BBQ for dinner....so.....he catches some meat...and that's DINNER! All while beneath the stilted homes surrounded by the family's livestock, and getting into the autorickshaw my friend Pansa owned and riding through town. We swerved through the and forest to a little inlet, just sit amongst the trees. Perfect.

Teach, Learn, Share

Indians express love three times more than everyone else ;) ....we even have 3 words for love:Pyaar, Mohabbat, Ishq
