About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn as much as possible about how other people live around the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm a journalist and recently graduated with my master's degree in data analytics. This is another way to say that I am leaving a very stressful season of my life and looking forward to enjoying my free time once again! As you may have guessed from my profession, I'm a very curious person and love meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking for a community of people who love to travel and learn something new from every destination. It gets a bit lonely as a solo traveler, so Couchsurfing seems like a great way to connect with people just as much as a city. I've been a member for a long time but am new to participating in Couchsurfing. That's because I didn't get the courage to travel by myself until after the pandemic quarantine, when I realized it was now or never.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I watch anything with a strong female lead or that's directed by Park Chan-wook. Lady Vengeance is my homegirl.

Music: I'm a pop girlie but have spent more time listening to music in Spanish to keep practicing the language.

Books: Love the Song of Ice and Fire series, but currently reading as much sci-fi as is available on Kindle Unlimited.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camping one night in the Sahara. It was really the pinnacle of a month I spent studying in Morocco.

Teach, Learn, Share

My latest trip was several months spent living and working in Mexico, and I'd be happy to give advice for anyone interested in traveling there.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you have ever been curious about how the journalism world works, I can tell you all about my experiences working in newspapers and now in nonprofit journalism. I can also try and serenade you on my ukulele (just remind me to bring it along!).

Countries I’ve Visited

Germany, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

Mexico, Morocco, United States
