ABOUT ME

Juls and I have just moved to Newcastle for a seachange and a better lifestyle after meeting in Melbourne over 2 years ago, through CS I might add. We're loving having the beach just down the road, and the many outdoor activities available such as surfing and swimming at the ocean baths.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfing, hosting and very good but not yet fruitful intentions of making it to a Melbourne meeting, have been to plenty of overseas ones though! All I can say is there really is no better way to understand a country and a culture than by meeting its people.

兴趣

Nic's favourite pastime, has to be sitting at a cafe with a coffee and a paper and having a good old chat. She loves to play the piano whenever she gets the chance, which is sadly not very often these days. She finds the human body fascinating, (so simple but so complex) presumably that's why she's an Osteo. She enjoys a good cooking session, especially when she is cooking for others.

Juls is super keen to start surfing again, since its a couple of years since he has had the chance. He is a great cook, with that skill of using whatever is left in the fridge to make something fabulous. He is very creative, and good with his hands, whether it be building, gardening or fixing things up around the house.

We both love cycling, and try to leave the car at home as much as we can on the weekend. We both love a good browse in an op shop to see what bargains we can pick up, and a stroll round the local farmer's market on a sunday morning to pick up the best fresh produce.

音乐、电影和书籍

Nic loves a good read, particularly biographies, historical novels or classics. She is forever browsing in book stores and buying books. She would actually love to write a book one day, one of her random life aspirations. Juls is much more into fantasy novels and manga.

Juls enjoys listening to World Music such as Playing for Change. Home grown talent includes John Butler, Xavier Rudd, Tinpan orange, Little Birdy and The Audrey's.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Nic - Watching the sun rise over the Annapurna mountain range from Poon Hill in Nepal. Exploring Plitvice lakes under fresh crisp snow in Croatia. 4WD through the Sahara for 3 days; never new how diverse desert landscapes could be! Returning home and actually being content, happy and awed to be back!
